Schattello Heated Parasol

Designed for hospitality and catering environments, the Schattello combines dependable commercial shelter with efficient infrared heating and warm-white LED lighting. Ideal for hotels, pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés and golf clubs, it creates a comfortable, welcoming environment, whilst supporting longer use of valuable outdoor seating. Optional timer buttons and automatic cut-off switches prevent heaters and lighting from operating unnecessarily, helping to reduce energy consumption and running costs.

Its robust mast, reinforced aluminium spokes and stainless-steel fittings provide lasting strength, while continuous spoke tension keeps the canopy fabric taut.  A removable crank handle and telescopic closing system also ensure straightforward daily operation.

The Schattello is a heavy-duty commercial parasol engineered for use in highly demanding hospitality settings. Its toughened aluminium mast, reinforced tensioned spokes and stainless-steel fittings ensure a reliable performance and long life. The canopy is opened using a removable crank handle, while its telescopic mechanism allows the parasol to close above standard-height tables. It can be installed permanently or supplied with a mobile base, depending on the requirements of the terrace. The use of highly efficient infra-red heaters and LED lighting enable use of the parasols all year round.

Why are Infra-red heaters a better option than patio gas heaters?

Infra-red heaters are by far a better option for commercial parasols because they warm people and surrounding surfaces directly, rather than attempting to heat the outdoor air. This makes them more effective in breezy environments. They also offer several practical advantages over patio gas heaters. When correctly positioned beneath a commercial parasol, infra-red heaters provide focused warmth exactly where customers are seated. Gas heaters lose more energy heating the surrounding air, which can quickly disperse. The precise running-cost advantage will depend on electricity and gas prices, heater output and operating patterns.

Yes. The Schattello is a highly wind-resistant commercial parasol, constructed with a robust aluminium framework, strengthened spokes and premium stainless-steel fittings. Its spring-loaded spoke system keeps the canopy fabric consistently taut, helping to minimise unwanted movement and extend its working life. As certified wind ratings vary according to canopy size and installation method, each parasol should be properly specified for its intended location and securely closed whenever local wind conditions exceed the recommended operating limits.

What sizes and canopy shapes are available?

Schattello commercial parasols are available in an extensive selection of square, rectangular and octagonal canopy sizes, with dimensions from 2.5m to 6m. Offset (eccentric) square and rectangular versions are also available. These position the mast away from the centre of the covered area, creating more usable space beneath the canopy for tables, seating and customer circulation. Morton Parasols can advise on the most appropriate size, shape and installation arrangement for a particular hospitality terrace.

What fabric colours are available for the Schattello parasol?

The Schattello parasol is available in around 40 colours. The fabrics are European solution-dyed acrylics, water-repellent, with high UV-resistance. In addition, optional fire-retardant and easy-clean PVC fabrics are also available for locations with particular operational requirements.
