Linking Gutters

Linking gutters can be used to connect two or more parasols, making them particularly useful when creating continuous coverage between larger canopies. Manufactured from PVC and stabilised with aluminium rods, they provide temporary protection during light rainfall by helping to reduce water entering between adjoining parasols.

Although a linking gutter can limit rainwater ingress, it is not designed to provide complete weatherproofing. It should not be relied upon during prolonged or heavy rainfall, torrential downpours, hail, sleet or snow.

What is a parasol linking gutter used for?

A linking gutter connects two or more adjoining parasols, helping to create more continuous overhead coverage. It reduces the open space between the canopies and is particularly useful when several large parasols are installed together.

Will a linking gutter prevent rainwater from passing between the parasols?

It will help reduce rainwater entering through the gap between adjoining canopies during light rainfall. However, it is intended as a temporary rain-management accessory and does not create a completely waterproof roof system.

What is the linking gutter made from?

The gutter is manufactured from flexible PVC and incorporates aluminium rods for additional stability. This combination helps the gutter maintain its position between the parasol canopies during normal use.

Can it be used during heavy rain or severe weather?

No. Whilst it will provide a level of protection against sever weather, linking gutters are not designed for torrential or prolonged rainfall, hail, sleet or snow. Parasols and accessories should always be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s weather and operating guidance.

Can a linking gutter join more than two parasols?
