Largo

The Largo is an imposing municipal shade structure, combining dramatic architectural design with outstanding strength and functionality. Available in substantial sizes from 6 to 10 metres, it is ideally suited to government buildings, religious sites, stadiums and other prestigious public spaces. Its elegant canopy opens upwards like a tulip, creating a distinctive visual landmark.

Most technical components are discreetly concealed within the structure, leaving only the textile canopy and central mast cladding visible. Engineered to withstand wind speeds of up to 130 km/h, the Largo operates through a telescopic system using either a crank handle or optional motor drive. Durable Ferrari PVC membranes and optional interior and indirect LED lighting complete the specification.

Is the Largo suitable for large municipal and religious sites?

Yes. Available in substantial sizes from 6 to 10 metres, the Largo is designed for prominent public spaces, including government buildings, places of worship, civic squares and stadiums. Its imposing scale and elegant tulip-shaped canopy make it both a practical shade solution and an architectural feature.

What level of wind resistance does the Largo provide?

The Largo is engineered for exceptional strength and can withstand wind speeds of up to 130 km/h, subject to the selected size, installation method and site conditions. A professional assessment should be undertaken to ensure the structure and foundations are correctly specified for the location.

How is the canopy opened and closed and what sizes and shapes are available?

The canopy uses a telescopic opening and closing system. It can be operated manually with a crank handle or supplied with an optional motor drive, making routine operation considerably easier for facilities and site-management teams. Sizes range from 6m to 10m. Shapes come in a sculpted square or round.

Can lighting be incorporated into the structure?

Yes. Optional interior and indirect LED lighting can be integrated into the Largo structure. This provides practical illumination after dark whilst highlighting the structure’s distinctive shape and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere around entrances, gathering areas and public spaces.

What is the installation process?

Firstly, the site will need to be surveyed in order to ascertain if it is a suitable location for the Largo structure. Secondly, excavation is required for the “in ground” anchor. The weight of Largo ranges from 800Kg to 2,350Kg. So, on installation day, a crane will be required in order to place the Largo structure. A team of people, led by an expert will be required.
